Black Butte Ranch, Sisters, Oregon
Jessie and Erik tied the knot at the new wedding venue at Black Butte Ranch in Sisters, Or. last November. The weather was moody and romantic, and rainy, so we made sure to bring umbrellas. Black Butte Resort has a large lake overlooking wonderful mountain views and everything you need from catering to guest lodging. Jessie and Erik were so much fun to work with. With a large group of friends, and focus fun, they went all out for the reception. Because they love concerts and festivals, they encouraged guests to wear fun coats and formal wear and a DJ package that included smoke bubbles and laser lights!
Mt. Angel Oregon & Lad Hill Winery/Champoeg Park
Located outside of Salem, Oregon, St. Mary's Catholic Church is a stunning location for a wedding. We were honored to photograph Bekah and Ian's nuptials. After the ceremony the we went with the bridal party to the beautiful Champoeg Park for portraits. It was a great beak in between the ceremony and reception for guests to enjoy a cocktail hour at the winery, and Bride and Groom to enjoy some time with their bridal party. Travis and I had scouted the location the week before and found a bright, but shaded area near the river for photos. Afterwards we drove the mile to Lady Hill Winery, set on a rolling green landscape of the vineyard and a small orchard. The venue sets the stage for the perfect reception entrance and mid-summer fairytale wedding.

Shadow Hills Country Club,
Eugene, Oregon
Kaylee and Clay came to Central Oregon for a visit and met with us at iconic Smith Rock for what turned out to be some of the most epic engagement photos we've ever captured! Shadow Hills made for the perfect vintage wedding backdrop complete with a large banquet hall, catering, a private garden for portraits, and a towering willow tree at the ceremony site. It was like taking a step back in time to the glamourous Hollywood weddings of the 1950's.
Silver Falls Sate Park
Rachelle and Micah were up for making some creative photos with us. We did the engagement photos in early spring downtown, with an urban vibe that was inspired by Wes Anderson films. Their elopement was the following Autumn at Silver Falls State Park, complete with stunning fall colors. After the ceremony under the pavilion blocking the rain, we drove to one of our favorite falls in the park for the short hike to take some intimate portraits. We all got super wet, and had a blast! Afterwards, we met their family at a diner in Stayton, about 20 minutes outside of the park to capture a few more memories.
